Wix Comments

It's kind of funny. I pretty much finished setting up this website today (Feb 23rd, 2024) but it's technically unfinished. As you can see, there is a comments counter under each post yet it's 0 on every single post. Pretty pointless then, right?

Well guess what, I left a comment myself on the very first post & the counter didn't change. That's extremely annoying!

Okay, so what can I do I wonder? Well looking online, there is supposed to be a "comments counter" option on your posts. You can either hide or show the number. It's not there. It really isn't. Wix's support website hasn't been updated & still says that you can disable it.

Why would they remove this? Who knows. I even tried using the official Wix Comments plugin but it doesn't effect the number. I'm using a different, third-party plugin because visitors can comment without needing me to setup a members page & what not.

So I guess for the future, don't worry about the comment counter. It's not gonna change. And I guess the lesson we can all take away from this is that...

Things are never as they seem.
